En utvecklad textilinsamling : För främjande av återvinning av textilier och reflektion kring textilavfall

This report belongs to a bachelor’s degree thesis within information design with focus on the spatial aspects. The purpose of the study is to find out how a textile collector in the recycling station can be established to activate and influence for an eco-friendlier behavior through the design of visual information and spatial relations. Multiple methods have been used including space analysis, interviews, role playing and users tests which include a mix of A/B testing, low-fi prototyping, scenario, think aloud protocol and finishing with a behavioral map to sum it all up in a visualization. The result of the methods has formed and been applied on a design proposal which shows how a textile collector could have appeared and influence the users. This with support from theories as nudging, cognition, and spatial relations. The report is terminated with a conclusion of the study and design proposal which shows that picking words with care and a well thought out shape are fundamental for reaching the user. This design proposal shows good and not so good examples of that. The report also discusses how the design proposal could develop and what flaws it possibly could contain.
