Estado da arte e análise SWOT da produção de hidrogênio a partir do biogás

This article explored the hydrogen (H₂) production from biogas, focusing on developing a state of the art and a SWOT analysis, aiming to identify the opportunities and challenges of this technology in the context of the energy transition. The state of the art review highlights the integration of advanced biotechnological processes with renewable energies as a promising area for future research, including the development of hybrid systems that increase H₂ yield and process efficiency. Efforts to enhance biocatalysts are essential to improve the conversion of biogas to H₂. Additionally, economic analysis and regulation are crucial for the large-scale implementation of H2 from biogás derived. The SWOT analysis showed sustainability and waste valorization as strengths, countered by high production costs and technical challenges. Opportunities arise from government incentives and the growing interest in clean energy, while threats include competition with other technologies, regulatory hurdles, and the need for adopting sustainable practices in industries. It is concluded that, with integrated strategic approaches and investments in research and development, the potential of biogas-derived H₂ can be maximized, contributing to a more sustainable energy transition and enabling the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The adoption of this technology can pave the way for a cleaner and sustainable energy matrix, boosting the green economyand providing environmental, social, and economic benefits.
