El impacto de la bailoterapia en la calidad de vida de los estudiantes universitarios: Revisión Sistemática

Dance therapy is beneficial for the physical, mental, emotional, social and cognitive development of university students. Currently many of them are affected by different factors that are experienced daily (family, academic, social, etc.). The different rhythms and movements in a dance therapy session can enhance their well-being, leading to an improvement in their quality of life in the future. This, in turn, can serve as an example and motivation for those around them. Therefore, this paper aims to systematize the theoretical and methodological assumptions about the impact of dance therapy on young university students' health. The methodology used was a systematic review applying the PRISMA protocol with the support of bibliographic sources from databases such as Latindex, Redalyc, Dialnet, and Scielo, using the search engines Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar during the years 2019-2024, in Spanish and English. The results confirmed the benefits of dance therapy on a physical, emotional, mental, social, and cognitive level for university students. They concluded that the practice of this activity raises their self-esteem, keeps them with a healthy body, and improves their quality of life.
