El impacto de las crisis en el sector agrícola mexicano

The objective of this research is to establish whether the health crises that impacted the world, which took place in the years 2009 and 2020, and the economic crises that impacted the different economies, which occurred in the years 1994 and 2008, had repercussions on the relationship between the price and the production of different agricultural products produced in Mexico. To achieve the proposed objective, different Chow structural stability tests were carried out. The results obtained when carrying out the Chow structural stability tests indicate that the economic crises that took place in the years 1994 and 2008, as well as the health crises that occurred in the years 2009 and 2020, with few exceptions, did not impact the relationship between prices and production of the main producing states of the five regions into which the agricultural sector of Mexico was divided for the main products produced in Mexico. It can be concluded that economic and health crises, with exceptions, do not affect the relationship between price and production of the main products produced in the agricultural sector in Mexico.
