El Museo de Arte en Japón en el siglo xxi: Percepciones e innovaciones desde el punto de vista del sujeto y su experiencia

This research examines the perceptions and innovations of the Art Museum in Japan in the 21st century, focusing on the subject situated within the museal regime. Considering the Museum as a global and cross-border phenomenon, but simultaneously lacking a single, unified definition, this work addresses the formation rules of the Western Art Museum in relation to the subject who experiences it, and contrasts these with the Japanese case. The thesis proposed is that there is a transformation, at least an initial one, from the experience of the artwork as a specimen toward the logics of the open-air. Three methodological tools are employed: a) bibliographic archaeology at Kyōtogeidai and the Kyoto Museum; b) an online structured survey with 10 multiple-choice questions administered to 28 Art students from Kyōtogeidai; and c) a semi-structured interview with the Curator of the Archaeology Department at the Kyoto Museum. This article falls within the fields of Museum Studies, Art Theory, and transculturality.
