Diseño y caracterización de polígono virtual para la habilidad uso del arma en formación policial: Poligono virtual

The present investigation focuses on the "Sargento José Emilio Castillo Solís" Police Training School, Tambillo, in which the lack of adequate practice in the subject of "Guns and Shooting" was detected, evidenced in the limited capacity of police officers to acquire the necessary skill in the proper handling and use of firearms, the occurrence of accidents and operational failures, where the insecurity in the handling of the weapon by police personnel has resulted in the omission of necessary acts during critical situations. Therefore, the objective was to design a virtual polygon in simulated environments for the development of the skill of using a firearm. The research was made up of two components: documentary and field, using a mixed methodology. The theoretical methods in conjunction with empirical and statistical methods allowed the researchers to design the polygon in correspondence with the results of the diagnosis and contribute to the production of more dynamic knowledge applicable to social reality since it presents key characteristics and specific areas, as well as the inclusion of the Fire Weapons Simulator mobile application to complement and reinforce the learning of the subject of "Weapons and Shooting". The virtual polygon is subjected to evaluation by specialists, who analyze its design and characteristics. The evaluation reveals a high acceptance among these, highlighting the functionality and innovation of the polygon, which suggests a significant advance in virtual representation technology.
