Desingn thinkingen la enseñanza del lenguaje: un enfoque innovador para fomentar la creatividad y el pensamiento crítico en la educación superior

The study examines the implementation of Design Thinking (DT) as an innovative pedagogical methodology in language teaching in higher education. This approach emerges as an alternative to traditional methods, which often limit the development of essential competencies such as creativity and critical thinking. Grounded in contemporary educational theories, DT promotes active, student-centered learning, fostering empathy, collaboration, and structured problem-solving. The objective is to analyze how DT impacts language teaching by enhancing these competencies. The research question explores how this methodology stimulates creativity and critical thinking in this field. A systematic literature review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, evaluating 20 studies published between 2015 and 2025. The findings show that DT bridges theoretical concepts with practical experiences, strengthens critical thinking, and fosters creativity, while also encouraging collaboration and empathy. However, its implementation faces challenges such as resistance to change, lack of resources, and the need for teacher training. In conclusion, DT represents a transformative approach that enhances linguistic competencies and prepares students to address complex problems in a globalizedcontext. This method not only optimizes educational outcomes but also transforms classrooms into dynamic and participatory spaces, promoting holistic learning focused on the development of key skills.
