FROM DATA OVERLOAD TO VISUAL CLARITY : Addressing paradoxical challenges in management systems through user-centered design
As digitalization continues to shape organizational operations, the need for user-friendly and intuitive management systems becomes increasingly more important. The nature of this study is to explore how user-centered design principles can enhance the user experience of digital management tools, by using the startup company Nordvis as a case study. Through this approach, which involved interviews, surveys and think out loud testing, insights were gathered from both actual users, UX-students and UX-experts. The findings highlighted the significance of useability, intuitiveness and visual clarity in improving user engagement. Based on empirical data and theoretical frameworks, the study presents design suggestions aimed at optimizing the system’s functionality and aligning it more closely with user needs. The results contribute to the broader field of human-centered design by illustrating how simplified systems may still require complex considerations to effectively serve diverse user groups.
