Client-based teaching : engaged universities in Sweden
Universities around the world are increasingly engaging with a range of stakeholders to co-produce knowledge by making explicit connections between student learning and real-world issues. These connections can enhance the education process while creating new opportunities for knowledge co- creation and active engagement between academic and non-academic actors. This report provides a summary of the external engagement strategies and activities offered by four Swedish Universities: KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Luleå University of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, and Lund University. The findings reveal a range of common approaches to enhance the educational experiences of students while repositioning universities as an influential partner in the realisation of social, environmental, and economic goals.
