Considerações sobre o ensino de educação sexual em escolas central e periférica na percepção de professores da rede pública na cidade de Assis-SP

This study aims to outline the perceptions regarding the approach to the theme of Sexual Education, from the perspective of teachers working in Basic Education in two schools, one located in a central area and the other in a peripheral region of Assis-SP, Brazil. Over the years, following the establishment of educational guidelines in Brazil, this theme has often been subjectedto prejudice, either due to outdated views, such as observing students as immutable and immaculate beings, or due to institutional factors, such as the lack of understanding of the actual relevance of its impact. However, given the sanitary and social importance of Sexual Education, this study seeks, through qualitative and quantitative measurements, to contribute to the understanding of the real challenges faced by teachers, the reasons for its everyday latency in school environments, and how to overcome them.
