Contratação de fundações de apoio na gestão de recursos UAB/CAPES: um diagnóstico nas Universidade Federais do Brasil

This study aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages associated with hiring Support Foundations to manage resources from projects in partnership with the Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) to offer distance learning courses at Federal Universities in Brazil. The research, of a qualitative nature, used bibliographic research and the application of questionnaires as its main methodological instruments. The resultsof this research show the importance of Support Foundations in optimizing the management of resources in academic projects, highlighting both the benefits and the challenges of this management model. Although the performance of foundations is well evaluated by universities, there is room for improvement, especially in relation to the transparency of operating costs and the agility of administrative processes. As a suggestion for future research, a comparative analysis between different management models adopted by Federal Universities is recommended, as well as a more in-depth investigation of the impact of Support Foundations on the efficiency of educational projects.
