Breve esbozo de la historia de la lexicografía polaco-española

This article aims to familiarize the Spanish-speaking reader with the Spanish-Polish lexicography and its history. As lexicography is a faithful mirror of human contacts, we begin with a historical sketch of contacts between Poland and Spain. The main part is a lexicographical overview from the first multilingual works of the 16th-17th centuries, in which Spanish appears alongside Polish, to the 20th century when the first bilingual dictionaries appear. The description attempts to present, as far as possible, both the macro and microstructure of the works. The last part is dedicated to the most recent projects: applications or multimedia dictionaries. The methodology applied, given the nature of the article, is merely descriptive and historiographical. For the same reason, eventual conclusions may be based on new lines of research into the works presented or on potential lexicographical works that may complete the panorama here sketched.
