According to the author, the main forms of lawyer communication are: verbal, non-verbal, written. Also, taking into account the informatization of society, it is proposed to single out such a subtype of lawyer communication as digital communication. Among the main problems of lawyer communication in the conditions of martial law, the following should be highlighted. War poses serious risks to the life and health of lawyers, especially when they are located and provide legal aid in active combat zones. This is a direct threat to the life and health of lawyers located in these territories. In today’s realities, the implementation of the principle of independence of the legal profession is under threat. Lawyers are subject to harassment and pressure. It may be political pressure from the occupying administrations or other organizations declared as defenders of the rights of persons who do not support the aggressor. This negatively affects communication. Certain communication difficulties may arise due to the client’s psychological state. He may be disoriented or stressed. In a state of war, the lack of stable communication makes it difficult to coordinate with clients and colleagues, so it is important to ensure secure channels of communication between lawyer and client to avoid information leakage. The article concludes that the military actions taking place on the territory of Ukraine pose new challenges for lawyers, especially in the field of communication. In order to successfully fulfill their professional duties, lawyers must adapt their approaches to changed conditions, use innovative technologies, adhere to ethical principles and cooperate with international partners. A lawyer’s communication in martial law is a multidimensional process that combines legal competence, emotional support, ethical responsibility and the desire to ensure the safety of the client.
