The article highlights the relevance of using digital tools in the process of formative assessment of education seekers, which is due to the modern trends of digitalization of the educational environment and the need to increase the efficiency of the educational process. Attention is paid to the types of assessment of students' educational achievements, and the main goals and methods of formative assessment are considered.The results of previous studies and publications of scientists related to the use of digital tools in formative assessment have been analyzed. The paper considers the main groups of digital tools that can be used in formative assessment. Through specific examples, such as Wordwall, Plickers, LearningApp and others, options for their use in the practical activities of general secondary education institutions are given. Particular attention is paid to the advantages of these tools in the context of providing a flexible and adaptive approach to assessment. Interactive exercises created with the help of digital platforms allow educators not only to increase the interest of students but also to provide immediate feedback, contributing to the improvement of the educational process and the formation of key competencies among students.
