Розвиток професійної компетентності хіміків-технологів у системі неперервної освіти

The authors emphasize the importance of continuous education for the development of professional competence among chemical technologists, which involves updating knowledge and improving skills throughout professional activity, in alignment with the concept of lifelong learning. Continuing education for chemical technologists includes: formal education (advancement courses, master's degree, postgraduate studies); non-formal learning (participation in seminars, conferences, and trainings); informal learning (self-education and exchange of experience in professional communities). Among the methods of developing the professional competence of chemists-technologists used by the Department of Philosophy and Economics of Education at M. V. Оstrohradskyi Poltava Academy of Continuing Education in the module titled "Practical philosophy of the competence approach in education" the following are used: interactive teaching methods such as the use of case methods, simulation technologies, and laboratory trainings; digital technologies including online courses, and the use of software for modeling technological processes; practical training such as internships at factories and, project activity; research activity such as participation in scientific projects, and the publication of research results. The objective factors that influence the development of professional competence among chemical technologists, which should be considered by the institutions of continuous education are determined: technical progress that changes the requirements for knowledge and skills; environmental standards and requirements for sustainable development; globalization, which requires chemical technologists to be competitive on the international labor market; innovations in chemical production that require the development of new technologies. The authors refer to the prospects for the development of continuous education for chemical technologists, including: the introduction of dual education, which combines training in continuous education institutions with factory work; development of partnership between continuing education institutions and industrial enterprises; the use of international experience to improve training programs for chemical technologists; and the integration of the environmental component into professional training programs.
