Annotation. This paper researches the fundamental principles of aggregator operations in integrating residential consumers into the electricity market and their role in advancing demand response programs. It explores and proposes the key functions of aggregators, the stages of their operations, regulatory requirements, and the dynamics of their interactions with all market participants. Special attention is given to the business models of aggregators, their cost and revenue structures, as well as the technical and economic aspects of energy resource management. The advantages of process automation and the development of monitoring and consumption analysis systems are identified.
