Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis (Cosmic Analysis) Implications for Impact and Airburst Phenomena
The Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis suggests a cosmic event 12,800 years ago triggered abrupt climate change and mass extinctions. This study analyzes Black Mat soil samples using Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy to detect impact markers like shocked quartz, nanodiamonds, and spherules. Identifying extraterrestrial evidence could support the theory that a comet caused these environ mental disruptions, providing insight into Earth's past and the role of cosmic events in shaping planetary history.
