Використання методу проєктів у формуванні соціально-фінансової грамотності дітей старшого дошкільного віку

The article is devoted to the investigation of the peculiarities of the application of the project method in the formation of social and financial literacy of older preschool children. According to the variable component of the educational course «Child in society. Social and financial literacy» of the State Standard of Preschool Education, the education seekers must have the developed social competence and financial literacy that means a child’s ability to realize its identity and to interact with other people. It also includes the child’s understanding of its rights and responsibilities, the ability to plan a budget, rationally use resources, save, evaluate available opportunities, and to develop its striving to leadership. The theoretical aspects of the formation of social and financial literacy as well as economic culture of preschool children in addition to the certain aspects of civic education are analyzed. The essence and peculiarities of the implementation of the pedagogical technology of the project method in the educational process of preschool education institutions are determined. The expediency of project method application as an important stimulating factor for comprehensive development and formation of children’s vital competencies is justified. The content and peculiarities of the children’s activity organization at different stages of the project are highlighted. The research shows that the implementation of the project method in the preschool education institutions activities present significant potential for enrichment of the educational process in preschool education institutions, the formation of social and financial literacy as well as civic competence of older preschool children. The perspectives for search of the effective forms in organization of children’s life in a preschool institution that promote proactivity, careful and responsible behaviour to the environment, tangible and intangible values of the future citizens of a country are determined.
