Towards a Theory of Supply Chain Management through Knowledge Management

Nowadays, a part of value creation which is the ultimate goal of each business takes place outside the company within its supply chain. In this study, supply chain and logistics management are combined. Then, the constructs of supply chain and logistics management theory are determined. According to the importance of knowledge management in 21 century, knowledge management is considered a vital construct of the supply chain and logistics management theory, since the supply chain is the flow of material and information. Having appropriate information can facilitate material flow, as well. So, the theory of supply chain and logistics management by knowledge management is presented.
