Transcription of Ottoman Turkish requires specialization. As a result of lack of knowledge and experience, field dominance is lost. Once domain dominance is lost, there will be deficiencies in the knowledge to be produced. In studies where Ottoman Turkish is needed, academics should not carry out studies without being equipped with basic knowledge skills. This study will show the dire consequences of conducting an academic study without a command of the field due to lack of knowledge and experience.
