Development of students' media literacy during computer study: COMPUTER SCIENCES AND TEACHING METHODS OF COMPUTER SCIENCES

The article considers the actual problem of media literacy development of secondary school students in the conditions of the information society. The importance of developing skills of critical perception, analysis and creation of media content for preparing schoolchildren for safe and effective interaction with various types of media is substantiated. The potential of computer science lessons for the implementation of media education through the performance of practical tasks of searching, checking and presenting information, observing copyright, safe online behavior and creating one's own media products was analyzed.
