Da Arqueologia Naval, dos Naufrágios da Foz do Mondego e do Oceano Onde Este Rio Desagua

This article aims to analyse and develop the study of shipwrecks and sea accidents relating to the coast and territory of Figueira da Foz. The author refers to the importance of nautical and underwater Archaeology as well as its procedures and methodologies to safeguard this type of heritage. The aim is to present a set of existing archaeological and historical data so as to expose a global perspective on a theme characterised by a nautical dimension and long diachrony.
