Yapı Bilgi Modellemesi ile Sürdürülebilir İç Mekan Tasarımında Enerji Verimliliği, Aydınlatma Optimizasyonu: Avantajlar ve Zorluklar
Throughout history, humans have transformed their surrounding environment to meet the demands of daily life. Over time, these interactions have evolved due to shifting needs, technological advancements, and the overconsumption of resources, resulting in significant environmental challenges. The depletion of natural resources without control has disrupted ecosystems and jeopardized the existence of various species. As a response, adopting sustainable practices has become essential to mitigate environmental degradation and pave the way for ecological restoration. Sustainability principles can be integrated into many fields, but architecture stands out as a domain with immense potential for impactful change, given its deep connection to human activity. The integration of sustainable strategies into architectural and interior design processes allows for enhanced energy efficiency and reduced environmental harm. Moreover, advanced technologies, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), enable comprehensive assessments of design proposals before their implementation. In today’s landscape, a variety of design software tools serve diverse purposes. Traditional systems, like CAD, facilitate certain types of analysis; however, they often require separate platforms for drawing and evaluation. This fragmented approach consumes time and complicates workflows. Conversely, BIM software, such as Revit, combines design and analysis processes within a unified framework, offering an efficient and effective solution. This integration not only streamlines workflows but also supports the generation of accurate and consistent results. This article emphasizes the critical role of sustainable design and explores its evolution within the architectural field. The study specifically investigates how BIM software equipped with artificial intelligence features contributes to evaluating sustainability in building design. The research methodology involves analyzing existing buildings modeled with BIM to understand its effectiveness in sustainability assessment. By examining BIM-based data from various structures against defined sustainability criteria, the study aims to evaluate the performance of current buildings and provide insights to guide more sustainable future designs. Sustainable practices in architecture play a vital role in preserving ecosystems by optimizing energy use and minimizing environmental damage. Through its ability to unify design processes and foster innovative analyses, BIM software represents a transformative tool in advancing sustainability in the built environment. This shift is expected to contribute significantly to creating a healthier and more balanced ecological future.
