Various Design and Analysis Tasks from Conceptual and Preliminary Design applied to the SMR Aircraft Configuration DLR-D2AE

The aeroelastic properties of future aircraft configurations are expected to become increasingly important.Therefore, the DLR Institute of Aeroelasticity developed a single-aisle short-to-medium-range aircraft configurations called D2AE. The presented paper documents the application of various design, analysis, and optimization methodologies to the D2AE configuration, showing the wide range of the capabilities of the DLR-AEs Aeroelastic Design group.
