Expression de symptômes par le dessin en thérapie familiale : cas d’enfants ivoiriens rapatriés de la Tunisie en contexte de crise socio-économique

Drawing is a graphic expression of the child’s capacity for mental representation. The use of drawing, where art and science meet in the context of psychotherapy, enables children to express their fears, anxieties and satisfactions symbolically. The aim of this study was to highlight, in family therapy, the expression of symptoms through drawing by Ivorian children repatriated from Tunisia in a context of socio-political conflict. This was an exploratory and descriptive monographic study of eighteen children, including seven girls and eleven boys aged between three and ten. Clinical sessions took place over a period of twenty-six days, from 07 March to 01 April 2023. The relationship of trust built up during the psychotherapeutic intervention in the family through drawing enabled children and parents to create a new way of being together. As a result, words flowed differently and genuine communication was resumed.
