Effectiveness Test of 96% Ethanol Extract of Black Cumin Seeds (Nigella sativa Linn., Al-Habbah As-Sauda') on Wound Healing and Leukocyte Levels in White Rats (Rattus norvegicus)

Background: Wounds are skin damage that affects the body's protective functions and requires a complex healing process. The utilization of medicinal plants, such as black cumin (Nigella sativa Linn.), has been widely recognized for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. The active ingredients of black cumin, such as thymoquinone, are known to support wound healing by increasing fibroblast proliferation, collagen synthesis, and reducing infection and inflammation. This study aims to test the effectiveness of 96% ethanol extract of black cumin seeds on incision wound healing and leukocyte levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Pupose: to assess the effectiveness of 96% ethanol extract of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa Linn., Al-Habbah As-Sauda') on incision wound healing and leukocyte levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Methods: This research is a type of quasi experimental research. Research Design This type of research was chosen because it was considered the most appropriate procedure to be carried out were quasi-experimental. Results: In the incision wound and leukocyte levels, the results showed that there was a significance value between the negative control group compared to the treatment group given 96% ethanol extract of black cumin seeds (<0.05), indicating that there were significant differences between the groups. Conclussion: 96% ethanol extract of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa Linn., Al-Habbah As-Sauda') proved effective in accelerating incision wound healing and increasing leukocyte levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus).at penyembuhan luka sayatan dan meningkatkan kadar leukosit pada tikus putih ( Rattus norvegicus ).
