It is thought that management practices and initiatives based on environmental sensitivity such as "green star" play an important role in the process of developing policies compatible with nature in accommodation establishments. In today's conditions the weakening of the individual's connection with nature is widely accepted as a factor that causes a decrease in environmental sensitivity and thus an acceleration of ecological degradation. In this context the current study addresses the environmental impacts of the tourism sector, examines the phenomenon of environmental alienation and examines environmentally sensitive practices in accommodation establishments.
