Volume Four: On the Ancient Transliteration of Jove

This paper examines the transliteration of the ancient Italic name Iove, referring to Jupiter, into ancient Hebrew. By analyzing the phonetic elements of the name and the orthographic characteristics of both Latin and Hebrew, we propose an approximation of how Iove would have been represented in ancient Hebrew script. Additionally, we explore the theoretical shift from "Yohweh" to “Yahweh,” comparing it to existing transliterations like YHWH and Jehovah.
