ELASTOGRAPHY AND CAP ASSESSMENT FOR LIVER DISEASE: Training events and feedback representing clinical research programmes in South Africa, Uganda and Kenya

Here we describe the FibroScan training events conducted at the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) in Somkhele, South Africa, at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme (KWTRP) in Kilifi, Kenya and at the LSHTM/MRC Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) General Population Cohort in Kyamulibwa, Uganda. Between January 2023 and November 2024, study teams consisting of clinicians, researchers, and community health workers had theoretical sessions and hands-on practice to achieve FibroScan competency. We distributed a SurveyMonkey on-line questionnaire to all who attended the training events and report our findings. <br>
