Hyper-Resolution Temporal Imaging via Free-Electron Laser-Driven Coherent Diffraction Scattering (FEL-CDI)

**Abstract:** This paper proposes a novel methodology for achieving hyper-resolution temporal imaging of non-equilibrium materials, specifically focusing on transient electronic states within organic chromophores, by integrating Free-Electron Laser (FEL) driven Coherent Diffraction Imaging (CDI). Leveraging the ultra-short pulse durations and tunable wavelengths of FELs, coupled with advanced iterative phase retrieval algorithms, we present a framework capable of resolving structural changes occurring on the femtosecond timescale with sub-nanometer resolution. This approach represents a significant advancement over existing techniques by providing access to dynamic structural information, crucial for understanding fundamental chemical processes and developing next-generation optoelectronic materials. --- *This document is a part of the Freederia Research Archive.
