METAPHORIZATION AND TERMINOLOGIZATION OF COMMON VOCABULARY IN ARABIC INTERNET DISCOURSE

This article analyzes the processes of metaphorization andterminologization of common vocabulary in modern Arabic,occurring within thecontext of internet discourse development. It investigates the mechanisms throughwhich traditional words acquire new, specialized meanings, transforming intointernet terms. Special attention is given to examples of semantic derivation,including the expansion, narrowing, and transfer of meaning, which demonstratesthe high adaptive capacity of the Arabic language to the realities of the digitalenvironment.
