Global health

The realities of globalization, such as the global spread of viral and noninfectious public health hazards, are reflected in global health. The architecture of global health is complicated, and improved collaboration amongst various agencies is required. Global health activity and prioritization are determined by three overlapping themes: public health, security, and development. Urbanization, socioeconomic growth, and demographic shifts provide a backdrop for these topics. Although they are no longer the leading cause of sickness and mortality worldwide, infectious illnesses are nevertheless important concerns. The health state of entire societies is no longer described by traditional public health indicators like maternal and infant mortality rates; this shift emphasizes the necessity of funding vital registration and disease-specific reporting. More focus will need to be paid in the future to non communicable diseases, injuries, and mental health.
