A Comparative Study of Wireless Energy Transmission Technologies and an Innovative Approach for Enhanced Efficiency and Safety
Wireless energy transmission (WET) has revolutionized the way power is delivered to devices across various applications, from consumer electronics to industrial systems. This article provides a comprehensive review of existing WET technologies, including inductive coupling, resonant inductive coupling, radio frequency, microwave, and laser-based systems. Each method is analyzed in terms of efficiency, range, safety, and suitability for different use cases. Despite significant advancements, current technologies face limitations such as restricted range, alignment sensitivity, and regulatory challenges. In response, we introduce an innovative WET approach that addresses these gaps while maintaining compliance with international safety standards.
