Survival Analysis of Cancer Patients using a New Area Biased Exponential-Exponential Distribution

AbstractIn this study, we proposed a novel distribution named Area biased exponential-exponential distribution (ABEED),which is the generalization of exponential-exponential distribution using area biased transformation technique.The structural properties include survival and hazard function, moments, moment generating function, entropymeasures, Bonferroni and Lorenz curve and order statistics. To estimate the parameter of the distribution, themethod of maximum likelihood and moment estimation are applied. A real-life application of the proposeddistribution is included to test the flexibility and superiority.
