Advancing Precision Agriculture with Multi-Agent Systems: AI-Driven Crop Monitoring, Soil Analysis, and Yield Prediction
Abstract: The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in agriculture has led to a paradigm shift in farming efficiency and sustainability. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) serve as a critical enabler of precision agriculture, allowing intelligent agents to collaborate for optimized decision-making in crop monitoring, soil analysis, and yield prediction. By leveraging reinforcement learning, these AI-driven agents dynamically adapt to environmental conditions and share real-time data to enhance farming strategies. This paper delves into the integration of MAS in precision agriculture, highlighting its impact on agricultural productivity. We explore the functionality of AI-powered agents in data collection and analysis, the role of reinforcement learning in decision-making, and the potential benefits of MAS in improving efficiency and sustainability. The discussion also addresses challenges such as computational complexity, real-world deployment hurdles, and data integration issues. This paper concludes with insights into future advancements in MAS technology and its contribution to global food security and sustainable agriculture.
