Evaluating the Effectiveness of Green Human Resource Management in Recruiting Young Talent: An Empirical Perspective
Abstract: This study investigates how potential employees' job pursuit intentions (JPI) are impacted by their perception of green human resource management (GHRM). Furthermore, environmental consciousness (EC) and gender are investigated as moderators to reveal the psychological mechanisms at play and shed light on the relationship's boundary conditions. The sample included 194 final-year students from technical institutions in India for this experimental investigation. SPSS was utilised to investigate the hypotheses. Prospective applicants' JPI and GHRM were shown to be highly correlated. It was discovered that EC considerably moderated the relationship between GHRM and JPI. Gender, however, did not contribute to our knowledge of the link mentioned above. This information will encourage practitioners to successfully incorporate GHRM into employee initiatives, policies, and practices related to human resources to draw in qualified candidates. In addition to offering more perspectives on how environmentally conscious behaviour affects people, the study responds to the request for research integrating the various disciplines of environmental management and human resource management.
