A Study on New Perspective of HRM in Indian Context with Special Reference to Bihar

Human Resource Management (HRM) in India is undergoing a transformative shift driven by rapid technological advancements, globalization, and evolving workforce expectations. This study aims to explore the emerging trends and new perspectives of HRM in the Indian context, with a specific focus on the state of Bihar. While national HRM practices are moving towards digitalization, strategic HR planning, and employee-centric policies, Bihar presents a unique case with its socio-economic challenges, migration patterns, and a growing startup and service sector. The research investigates how HRM is adapting in Bihar's public and private sectors, identifying gaps, opportunities, and innovative practices emerging in the region. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, including surveys and case studies of organizations in Bihar, the study provides insights into the evolving role of HR professionals, the influence of local culture, and the impact of state-specific policies. This paper ultimately aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how regional dynamics shape HRM and offer practical recommendations for enhancing HR effectiveness in less-industrialized regions like Bihar.
