Strategic Scaling: A Game-Theoretic Framework for the Principle of Scale in Complex Systems
This paper presents a new theoretical framework that integrates scale as a transformation operatorin game-theoretic systems. We define a Scale Operator S_k that alters the structure of a game, affecting players, strategies, payoffs, and information. We introduce a Double Bind Index (DBI) tocapture cross-scale strategic contradictions. Through a taxonomy of scale-sensitive games andcase studies in AI policy, the paper shows how equilibrium strategies can break down, invert, ortrigger cascading failure as systems grow in size or complexity.
