A Smart Cigarette pack concept :Time-Limited and Activity-Driven Design for Progressive Smoking Reduction
This paper presents a conceptual design of a smart cigarette pack that opens only at scheduled times or after completing a physical activity goal (e.g., 4000 steps). It includes an emergency override once per day, and tracks user behavior through a mobile app. This approach aims to encourage smoking reduction through behavioral conditioning and scheduled access. The device includes an OLED screen and reports weekly behavioral data to motivate change.
