Review on Aloe Vera – Medicinal Plant
For thousands of years, people have utilized aloe Vera, a plant that resembles a cactus, fortraditional medicinal uses. Aloe leaves can be divided into two main products: the gel, which is acolorless and tasteless substance found inside the leaf, and the latex, which is a bitter yellowliquid found beneath the leaf's epidermis. Both include several biologically active ingredients, primarily polysaccharides and anthraquinones (acemannan is the most active), which can workalone or in combination. Aloe Vera is used in cosmetic moisturizers, toothpastes, and othergoods; in food as flavoring agents or fresh product preservatives; and in human and animalmedicine, according to scientific research. Because of its anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, andimmune-boosting properties, aloe Vera appears to treat a wide range of ailments. Keywords – Aloe Vera, health benefits, its formulations and uses.
