ANALYSIS OF THE INTEGRATION OF LANGUAGE SKILLS IN UNIVERSITY-LEVEL ESL CLASSROOMS: A LOCAL AND GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
In the field of language education, the integration of listening, speaking, reading, and writing has become increasingly important. This study investigates the practical implementation and impact of integrated skills instruction in university-level English classrooms in Uzbekistan. Through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student surveys, this research highlights how integrated skill teaching can enhance learners' communicative competence, increase motivation, and reflect real-world language use. While integration offers numerous pedagogical benefits, it also presents certain challenges related to planning, time management, and resource availability. This paper offers both a theoretical perspective and practical insights into the integration of language skills, aiming to support more effective language instruction.
