Height Enhancement – Population Shift to 6ft Average
This working paper examines the potential for height-enhancing interventions—such as hormonal therapy, nutritional optimization, and regenerative medicine—to significantly shift average adult height in future generations. It explores whether widespread, safe, and affordable use of these technologies before skeletal maturity could make 6 feet (182.88 cm) the new global height norm. The analysis spans biomedical science, social behavior, economics, ethics, and future studies, offering scenario-based forecasts and highlighting both the opportunities and risks of mass height enhancement. This is a speculative yet grounded exploration designed to provoke discussion across health, policy, and cultural domains.
