Review on Green Chemistry in Analytical Method Development and Validation: A Sustainable Approach

Abstract: The increasing concern for environmental sustainability has driven the need for green chemistry principles in analytical method development and validation. This study presents the application of green chemistry principles in the development and validation of analytical methods for pharmaceutical and environmental analysis. Novel approaches, such as solvent-free extraction, microextraction techniques were employed to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption, and promote eco-friendly methodologies. The developed methods were validated according to ICH Q2(R1) guidelines, demonstrating satisfactory specificity, accuracy, precision, and robustness. The results showcase the potential of green chemistry-based analytical methods to reduce environmental impact while maintaining analytical performance.
