Dual-Finger and Popliteal Recognition System for Enhanced Biometric Security in Mobile Devices
This proposal introduces a novel dual-fingerprint biometric authentication mechanism formobile devices, designed to enhance both usability and security. Unlike conventional singlepoint fingerprint verification, this approach enables users to unlock devices using twofingers (thumb and middle finger) on the same hand through side-mounted sensors.Additionally, a secondary recognition method utilizing the popliteal area (back of the knee)is proposed for wearable or mobility-based devices. Together, these innovations supportsingle-hand operation, adaptive user habit recognition, and multi-modal biometric security
