A Unified Framework for Dark Matter and Dark Energy New Approaches to Understanding the Cosmos
Abstract: This paper explores a unified theoretical framework that seeks to explain both dark matter and dark energy as manifestations of a deeper, underlying physical principle. Traditional models treat dark matter as a particle-driven phenomenon and dark energy as an accelerating force associated with vacuum energy. However, we propose an alternative formulation in which both components emerge from a modified space-time structure, potentially linked to gravitational field interactions, quantum vacuum fluctuations, or extra-dimensional effects. We introduce a generalized energy-momentum tensor, incorporating non-local gravity corrections, topological field effects, and scalar field couplings to describe the dynamical evolution of dark matter and dark energy within a single mathematical framework. Our approach suggests new observational signatures, including possible deviations in cosmic microwave background anisotropies, large-scale structure distributions, and gravitational lensing patterns. Key Highlights: Unifies dark matter and dark energy within a modified gravitational framework. New field equations incorporating non-local curvature corrections and vacuum fluctuations. Implications for cosmic acceleration, large-scale structure, and modified gravity. Predictive models for gravitational lensing, dark matter halos, and cosmic void structures. By integrating theoretical physics, cosmology, and observational constraints, this work provides a novel approach to resolving the missing mass-energy problem in the universe and suggests potential experimental tests for distinguishing between competing models. Keywords: Dark matter, dark energy, modified gravity, vacuum energy, large-scale structure, quantum gravity, cosmology, space-time topology, gravitational lensing, extra dimensions, unified field theory.
