PROSPECTS FOR USING WAVE POWER PLANTS IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Renewable energy sources are becoming a cornerstone of global energy systems amid digital transformation. Wave energy holds immense potential, capable of generating up to 29,500 TWh/year globally, underscoring its critical role in sustainable development and reducing carbon footprints. In Russia, wave power plants can effectively address energy demands in remote areas, where over 60% of the territory relies on decentralized energy systems, such as the Far East or Northwest regions. The study aims to substantiate the prospects of using wave power plants with IT support for small-scale energy applications, emphasizing their commercialization and environmental benefits.
