Flags, Fame, and Fallout: The Illusion of Heroism in Ukraine – Vol. 2
This paper explores how modern warfare, particularly in Ukraine, has transformed from territorial confrontation into a spectacle of symbolic leadership, narrative manipulation, and geopolitical performance. Through the lens of the "Third Generation of International Relations" — a new conceptual framework that transcends state-centric models — the study critiques the elevation of President Volodymyr Zelensky as a media construct rather than a sovereign strategist. It repositions the Ukrainian crisis within broader debates on ethical diplomacy, institutional fatigue, and the collapse of symbolic alliances. The paper calls for a shift from performative politics to principled diplomacy, asserting that no proxy should bleed for applause in a world dominated by narratives, not justice.
