Relative samples of Lagrangian quantities in Rayleigh Benard convection
This is a data set which holds relative velocity between lagrangian tracer particles in a Rayleigh Bénard flow setup at Rayleigh number of 2*10^9. Each sample in the data set is associated with three values: the distance between two particles (r), their rate of change of the distance (dr/dt), and the rate of change of the kinetic energy for their relative velocity (dk/dt = d/dt( 1/2(\delta v)^2 )), all measured at a single instant of time. The samples are stored in files using the hdf5 where each file containes a subset of the samples with r being within a given range. For details about the physical use see the pre-print arXiv:2505.01714. The space units are measured in millimeters, time is measured in seconds and thus all the derived quantities are measured with the respective units.
