Data for "An Incremental Model for Interfacial Stiffness Unifying Sublinear and Linear Scaling Regimes"

This dataset contains surface topography and contact simulation results used in the paper "An Incremental Model for Interfacial Stiffness Unifying Sublinear and Linear Scaling Regimes", submitted to Physical Review Letters. Each .mat file corresponds to a specific self-affine rough surface defined by its Hurst exponent (H), lower cutoff wavenumber (qrL/2pi), and upper cutoff wavenumber (qsL/2pi). Each .mat file includes: z: Height field of the 2048×2048 rough surface bem_A: Contact area fraction {A/A_0} bem_P: Normalized load {P/(E^*A_0\sqrt{m_2})} bem_u: Normalized mean gap {\overline{u}/h_\mathrm{rms}} The surfaces were generated using a spectral method with prescribed power spectral density, and the contact response was calculated using a boundary element method (BEM).
