DESIGN PATTERNS FOR ENHANCING SOFTWARE REUSABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY IN DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS
In modern computing environments, distributed systems have become foundational for building scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable software applications. However, ensuring reusability and flexibility in such systems remains a significant challenge due to their inherent complexity and heterogeneity. This paper explores the strategic use of software design patterns to enhance reusability and flexibility in distributed systems. We analyze classical and modern patterns, evaluate their relevance in cloud-native and microservices architectures, and demonstrate their impact through examples and visual models. The findings contribute to the development of more maintainable and scalable software architectures in heterogeneous, distributed computing environments.
